Dipolog Airport is a secondary domestic airport which serves Dipolog, the capital of Zamboanga del Norte province in the Philippines. Though small it is still the busiest airport in Mindanao with about 150,000 passengers a year (about 450 per day).
The airport was officially opened in 1941. Formerly, it was located in the north of the Philippine Constabulary Camp (now Camp Hamac), Sicayab, Dipolog. But due to damage sustained in World War II the airport was relocated to the east of the runway. The airport was fully relocated in 1947 and supported by a longer runway and bigger terminal.
There is only one terminal in the airport and there is no baggage carousel, so arriving passengers need to pick up their baggage themselves in the arrival hall. Other facilities here also very limited.
Dipolog Airport is just 4 km north from the city center of Dipolog.
Only tricycles are available outside the terminal. A tricycle from the airport to downtown would cost about PHP 50. If you don't carry a lot of luggage you could walk to the main road (30 meters from the airport's gate) and get a tricycle to the city for around PHP 30.

Dipolog Airport is not a large airport so there are not many flights departing here. There are only a few destinations that you can reach from Dipolog Airport, most of these are operated by PAL Express. Many people take a flight to Cebu and transfer to another flight there.
